Plus, if it needs more pollies to smooth out. It needs to be determined is it worth it for map props that you typically just pass by and don't interact with. Doom 3 is not forgiving with its on screen poly and light count.

True. But I've seen better trees in other doom mods. So in the spirit of critique, I decided to bring it up.

Re: Frequent Random Screenshots from the team during develop
Am going to look into those, because one thing's for sure, they do look a bit...odd. In the beginning, while working on hexen it was a constant struggle to search for that distinct style. Sometimes during our adventures in trying to find that right and fitting style we looked at other material as well. One day I was so inspired by the Prince of Persia artwork that I thought to recognise elements that inspired a 'Hexeny' feeling to them. This is the artwork in question: Attachment:

Which quickly translated into something in game. Note that the weapons, hud... well basically everything you see in here is not in the current build any more, considering the screens are dated 2005. The cobwebs are stock doom3, which reminds me I have to add some new cobweb textures. Attachment:

The doom guy is holding those throwing stars rather strangely in those pics.

Re: Frequent Random Screenshots from the team during develop
EOC looks awesome regardless of the video settings! But seriously, that wood texture behind the bars has a really high-quality look compared to everything else in the LOW pic. Actually, it doesn't look like it changed very much between the LOW and ULTRA pictures.

Awesome. I like very much the flames that surround the Ettin. And the photo with the barrels and the corpse has a fantastic Hexen-esque feeling! I really appreciate your big work.

Are the crates moveable/breakeable? why they are so similar like they are done on the manufacture?) Not so important but removes realistics in some way

Re: Frequent Random Screenshots from the team during develop
Doom 3's moveable system is limited, and it's breakable system was non existent. Most of the map filler is non-moveable. We have implemented a crude breakable system for pots and stuff.

While working today. Note that the Depth of Field effect has been some what of a source of discussion within the team. The effect can be turned on or off depending on your personal taste. Attachment:
