We had one for a while and was never used(or really advertised I think). I've re-opened our public IRC chat room and am relaying our info to the public. It would be nice to set up a base to allow us 'live' discussions with anyone who is interested.......or if you just want to idle there, that's fine as well.

Keep in mind people aren't always around. You could try typing one of the nicknames in the room and it will alert whoever you typed if they are at their computer.

There have been several people who have stopped in and left over the last few days. Just a reminder to anyone who is unfamiliar with IRC. Often regular users keep it open, but minimized in their tray. Even if they are not at their computer, they will just idle in the room anyway. Be assured you guys made it to the right room, just no one was around. Typing any of the nicknames on the sidebar will grab that persons attention.

If your using the java client at gamesurge's website, they actually hide the user list by default. In your right toolbar of the IRC window click the 'users' list and it will drop down and show the people in the room.

If anyone has any problems, feel free to post here to get it worked out.

Joined up. Took me a while to remember the IRC commands. Been YEARS since I last used it. Followed Unknown: Quest for the Golden Dragon till Kevin Ross vanished off the face of the planet and the game went belly up.

It's nice to see the occasional person drop by from here. Sometimes some team members are around, some times we might just be idling, but we always see if someone has come and gone. Everyone should feel free to stop by anytime! Just type a team members name in the chat room to alert them.

From tomorrow on I should be Idling in there 24hr per day as my ISP is finally catching up with the times and are rolling out less stringent fire-walled routers that customers are not allowed to log into for any kind of personal configuration.

For some reason my client is having trouble connecting to gamesurge.net. Anybody else having this issue?

Nope, no problems here. Have you tried changing the host address? they have about a dozen different hosts you can try.

How does it even work? I tried it out, but there didn't seem to be anybody on...

It could just be there's no one in there a.t.m.
