So, can anybody tell me when Edge Of Chaos will be released? If that question is too hard, then perhaps an easier one would be - what is taking so long not to release, what is left to do? What's the hold-up?

I know they did recycle lots of maps, and started making per new though.. Do they still "lack" modelers?

Mapping has always been our slow spot. There has been such a rotating door of mappers, it's unreal. And most haven't done anything worth saving. Things are shaping up, and we do have some solid mapping progress right now. Maps just take a while to do, so do to the late late start on getting solid mapping work, it's the reason for a late late release then originally wanted.

I don't think they ever really lacked modelers. Like deadite said, the biggest problem has been getting mappers/maps that stick to the team/game. Since their original website, you can see news posts about how they are in desperate need of mappers. There was even a news post on DoomWorld about it. So it's very encouraging to finally see some progress being made in that department.

I'm bumping this for a particular community inquiry. Is there anyone here who has modeling talent? We have about 5-6 models left on our demo to-do list, and once again people have vanished. We have one modeler left, but help would surely be beneficial.

Good morning to everyone here! I am a BIG FAN of the Xexen saga and would like to help you all!
Im an apprentice in level design: for now i cannot build maps(lack of skill with doom3 editor) but im full of ideas to design new ones!
I think a great work has already been done with retextured weapons and monsters!
Hope new level designers will join so we can have some tech exchange and improve our skills.
