Post level editor
I'm a fan of making levels for first person games and massive multi-role games.

I have a question you do:

will Hexen edge of chaos a level editor?

would be like a dream come true

I have levels all my life since childhood, using Realmcrafter, wadauthor explore rpg, oblivion IV, Neverwinter Nights, Warcraft, Starcraft, etc.. and learned some C and C + + for my studies in computer network administrator.

am 25 years old, and never stop doing

I hope to do so too will appreciate.

good luck with the game.

We just use the built in level editor that came with doom 3 :) . All you would need are all the custom assets and you pretty much would be able to make Hexen levels. Happen to have any examples of any of your past work? Would love to see some of your designs :D

Oh, I would love to see editor too. How is Doom 3 editor? Is it difficult? Because I was only using Quark editor to make some Hexen 2 levels and it was pretty easy. It support Doom 3 as well.

It takes getting used to. Some things will crash the editor, but once you find out the programs faults, like anything, gets the job done.

To see what the Hexen: Edge of Chaos editor will be like, just boot Doom3 and open the console. Then type "editor" (or "edit"? can't remember), and press <Enter> (or <Return>). Welcome to the Doom 3 Editor! ;)

I am currently learning the Unreal Editor (College), I have used radiant (but not for a long time, that would take getting used too). However if you want to see how I am able to design maps for a certain game I am currently still active in, I would be glad to post the link.

In fact: Here it is (I can provide more screens of other maps also, this is currently the most well know one)

This is for the game Company of Heroes, and although the editor is no where near similar to that of anything you would be looking for, editors are easy for me to adapt to and learn how to use.

If you want some of the work that I did in Radiant let me know, I will grab some screens of that and send them to you.

There is also DarkRadiant which can be used for mapping.
It is a custom made map editor which was made for The Dark mod.
It also works on this mod ( as I use it ) , I think it works better than Doom3Edit.

So I just downloaded and went through the "Dark Radiant" and I am at home. I just need to figure out where the trigger events and such are located.

When would I be able to get some assets to use in the maps? If I would be able to at all.

The trigger events and entities are found by rightclicking on the editing window. There you have a button Create Entity :)

When the mod gets released you should be able to get started.
All you have to do is change mod base to the mod.

Also a good tip is that you can change the window layout by going to View > WindowLayout > SplitPane. So it looks more like DoomEdit.

Okay, hopefully that is soon.

Way ahead of you, this is how you use the Q3Radiant Editor. I was a little worried when I first saw how it loaded, then I found how to split the panes so I could see each axis independently.

I can't wait to make some good maps for you guys!

I will make some maps, using the Doom assets. Just some multiplayer-like ones I guess.
